declared that the current receipts and disbursements of
the funds of the Church shall be under the controll and sole
management of those persons who from time to time be regularly
authorised and appointed under the discipline of the Church
aforesaid to receive and disburse the current funds of the
Church
VIII.   That no additions alterations or amendments shall be
made in the foregoing articles or any of them except by the
concurrence of two thirds of the male members of the age
of twenty one years which shall be present at a meeting
called as aforesaid for the purpose and they are
hereby declared capable of making such additions alterations
or amendments
    We the minister and Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal
Church in the County of Howard do hereby declare that
the foregoing proceeding herein mentioned and alluded
to have been duly and legally conducted according
to law and the discipline of our church
       In Testimony Whereof We have hereunto subscribed
our names and affixed our Corporate Seal the day and
year first above written

State of Maryland Howard County To wit
    Be it remembered that on this Twenty third day of
January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight
hundred and Sixty personally appeared before the Subscribers
two Justices of the peace in and for the County
of Howard and State of Maryland Rev Henry C.
Westwood Minister and Christian Close John H Windsor
Philip Cessel Samuel Thomas Carr James Harban
and Horatio Johnson a majority of the afore mentioned
Trustees of the "Friendship Methodist Episcopal church
in County of Howard state of Maryland and made
Oath that the aforementioned proceedings were conducted
according to the laws and discipiline of the Church
and that the articles of agreement anounced in said
proceedings were duly made by the male members of the M. E.
