John R Clark
 I George Watson of Howard County and State of
maryland in consideration of one hundred dollars lent me
this day on my promissory note by John R Clark of same
County and state and in order to better secure the payment of
the same do hereby bargain and sell to the said John R Clark the following property
to wit one chesnut colored mare bought of Nathan Hobbs; one sorrel mare bought of
Doctor Burnes:  two new concord buggy wagons of Abbott's make
                Witness my hand and seal this fourteenth day of November Eighteen hundred

                               State of maryland Howard County to wit:
I hereby certify that on this fourteenth day of November in the year eighteen hundred
and fifty nine before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the county aforesaid
personally appeared George Watson and acknowledged the foregoing Bill of
Sale to be his act and at the same time personally appeared the said
John R Clark and made oath in due form of law that he above
Consideration is Just and bonafide as therein set forth

Received to be recorded on the 14th day of November 1859 at
10½ Oclock A M. same day recorded and examined per

    I hereby on this 15.th day of January 1861 bargain sell and
Release unto George Watson the property mentioned and described
in the above bill of sale   =   Witness my hand & seal
on this 15th day of Jan 1861

 Know all men by these presents that I Benjamin
Murphy of Howard County in the State of
Maryland for the consideration of the sum of
seventy dollars to me in hand paid by the said
Christian Wallack of the county and state aforesaid
the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge
have granted bargained and sold to Christian Wallech the
following property to wit:  one black and white Buffalo
cow the present crop of corn, two houses of tobacco a quantity of
rye and oats in the straw one waggon and twenty three head of
hogs                                                                  his
