before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland
in and for Baltimore City aforesaid personally appeared Asbury
Fisher & Bernard M Campbell and acknowledged the aforegoing
bill of Sale to be his act and now at the same time before
me personally appeared Bernard M Campbell the within named
bargainee and made oath in due form of law that the consideration
set forth in the above Bill of Sale is true and bona
fide as therein set forth

I hereby certify that George W Spies Esquire before whom the
annexed acknowledgments and affidavit were made and
who has thereto subscribed his name was at the time of so doing

This Indenture made this sixteenth day
of May Eighteen hundred and fifty nine
between Clarissa A Warner coloured of
Carroll County in the State of Maryland
of the one part and David Burdett of
                           Howard County and said state of the other part witnesseth
                           that the said Clarissa A Warner hath placed and bound out
                           and by these presents doth place and bind out as apprentices
                           her three sons to wit Edward A Warner who will be seven years
                           of age on the eighth day of October next:  William A Warner
                           who will be four years of age on the twelfth day of December
                           next and George B W Warner who will be three years
                           of age on the eighth day of September next unto the said
                           David Burdett to be brought up and taught habits of
                           usefullness and industry in farming and cultivation of
                           the soil: that the said Edward A. William A and
                           George B W to dwell with and serve the said
                           David Burdett his heirs or assigns, well and
