                                                                      Be it remembered that on
this fifth day of April Eighteen hundred and fifty nine before me the
subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the state of Maryland aforesaid in
and for said County personally appeared Joel Blew and Jasper M
Berry and acknowledged the within bill of sale to be their respective
act and deed and at the same time the said Joel Blew made oath in
due form that the consideration therein stated is true and bona fide

Joseph Kuhn
 Know all men by these presents that I Mathias
Amend of Howard County for and in consideration
of the sum of one hundred and
seventeen dollars to me in hand paid by
                          Joseph Kuhn of the same place at and before the ensealing and
                          delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
                          do hereby grant and sell to the said Joseph Kuhn the following
                          property four horses three cows one heffer ten hogs two waggons
                          one Market waggon.   Witness my hand and seal this Eighth
                          day of April eighteen hundred and fifty nine
                          Signed sealed and                                 Mathias Ament   (seal)
                          delivered in the presence of
                                W Allen
                                              State of Maryland Howard County to wit:
                          I hereby certify that on this eighth day of April in the year eighteen
                          hundred and fifty nine before me the subscriber a Justice of
                          the peace of the said state in and for the county aforesaid
                          personally appeared Mathias Amend and acknowledged the
                          foregoing bill of sale to be his act: and at the same time and
                          place before me also appeared Joseph Kuhn and made oath
                          in due form of law that the consideration in the said Bill of Sale
                          is true and bona fide as therein set forth
