Howard County to Wit:
    I hereby certify that Richard Harden
of said County brought before me the
subscriber one of the Justices of the
Peace in and for said County this thirteenth day of November
1858 a astray tresspassing upon his enclosures a bay horse about
nine years old sixteen or seventeen hands hight a star in
the forehead with no shoes on long tail trots and canters
has no appearances of geer marks at the same a two year colt
bay colour about two years old nex spring

I William H. Worthington of
Howard County in the state of
Maryland in consideration of the Sum
                           of Thirty two hundred dollars paid me by Allen Thomas
                           jr. of the county and state aforesaid do hereby bargain and sell
                           to the said Allen Thomas jr. the following negro slaves for life
                           Amey aged about twenty four years, Dennis aged about four
                           years, Mary aged about Three years, Fanny aged about one year
                           Joseph one month, Richard aged about eleven years and
                           Albert aged about seven years Susan aged about Twenty four
                           years, Margaret aged three years, and Elizabeth aged one year
                           and Robert aged about fourteen years I promise to
                           warrand and defend the same
                                    Witness my hand and seal this sixth day of November
                           1858

                           I hereby certify that on this sixth day of November 1858
                           personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of
                           the Peace for Howard County aforesaid   W. H. Worthington
                           and acknowledged the aforegoing bill of sale to be his
