            To
John M Warfield
            Release
In consideration of the payment of four
hundred and sixty one dollars and sixty eight
cents the principal and Interest of a debt for which
John M Warfield executed to us a bill of sale
which was recorded among the chattle records of
Howard County on the twentieth day of July
Eighteen hundred and fifty eight we hereby release all and singular
the said property in said bill of sale mentioned; and we do hereby declare
every matter and thing contained in said bill of sale null and void
and the goods chattels and property therein mentioned to be fully finally
and forever released from all and every claim that we or any person
claiming under us could possibly put up to the same or any part
thereof.  Witness our hands and seals this 7th day of September

          Howard County to wit:
I hereby certify that on this 7.th day of September 1858 before me
a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for the county
aforesaid personally appeared Alexander H. Hobbs and
Henry W. Warfield and acknowledged the above release or
Instrument of writing to be their respective act and deed

R H Carr an Bro
I Edward H Williams of Howard County
in the State of Maryland in consideration
of one hundred and fifty dollars paid
me by R. H. Carr and John B Carr trading
under the name of R. H. Carr and Bro of Baltimore City do hereby
bargain and sell to the R. H. Carr and John B Carr trading under the
name and style of R H Carr and Bro the following property one
Roan Horse aged about seven years, One waggon for one Horse and
sett Harness, 4 feather bed, bedstead, and bedding, 3 table, one doz
chains, one Bureau one Carpet 3 stoves, one looking glass 1
clock.  Witness my hand and seal this 4th day of September in the
year one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight
