do grant and convey unto the said party of the second part
her Executors Administrators and assigns one Cow and one
heifer one black horse and nine head of hogs to have and
to hold the same unto the said party of the second part her
executors administrators and assigns forever.  And I do for myself
my heirs Executors & Administrators Covenant and agree
to and with the said party of the second part her executors Administrators
and assigns to Warrant and defend the said property
goods and chattels hereby made with the said party
of the second part against all and every person and persons
whomsoever.  In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal the Fifth day of of July Eighteen hundred and fifty

Be it remembered ^that^ on this fifth day of July Eighteen hundred
and fifty eight before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for
Howard COunty appears Ann Dorsey and acknowledges the
above Instrument of Writing to be her act and deed and
at the same time appeared before me the said Hannah E
Swigart the said grantee ^in^ the said Bill of Sale made
oath that the consideration set forth in the bill of sale is ^true and^ bona
fide as set forth

H. W. Warfield Trustees
I John M Warfield of Howard County
Maryland being now indebted to unto Alexander
H Hobbs & Henry W Warfield (Trustees)
in the sum of two hundred and
eighty Seven dollars and ten cents with
interest from the date hereof in consideration thereof do
hereby bargain & sell to the said Alexander H. Hobbs and
Henry W Warfield trustees the following property viz:
one bay mare one Brown Horse one Rockaway Carriage
and Harness and one negro man Joshua about twenty
six years of age a slave for life.  Provided that if I the
said John M. Warfield shall pay to the said Alexander
H Hobbs & Henry W Warfield the said sum of two hundred
and eighty seven dollars and ten cents with the interest thereon
on or before the first day of November Eighteen hundred
