the only lawful heirs of Robert Behoo and George Behoo
late of Howard County deceased to whom our mutual friend
James A meredith stands indebted by his promissory note
dated the 25th day of March 1845 in the sum of Five hundred
dollars and               cents as reported by said James A meredith
Adm.r of Robert Behoo to the Orphans Court of the county
aforesaid:  And whereas  the said James A meredith at various
times and occasions has rendered valuable services to us and
to make him sum return therefor and in consideration thereof
and also in the further consideration of the sum of one dollar
to us in hand paid by said James A. meredith at and before
the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof we the
said mary Behoo and Ann Behoo do hereby acknowledge
and ourselves and each of us therewith to be fully satisfied
contented and paid we the said Mary Behoo and Ann
Behoo do hereby acquit exonerate release and forever
discharge the said James A meredith his executors or
administrators of and from any and all accountability
or liability for the payment of said note or any part
thereof; and from all responsibility therefor in any manner
Whatsoever; and we hereby direct and intrust the orphans
Court of Howard County that in passing of the first administrators
account by said James A. meredith after the
date hereof full credit be allowed him for the amount of
the said note and interest; and for so doing this shall
be full and ample authority
    In Testimony Whereof we the said Mary Behoo and Ann Behoo
have hereto set our hands and seals this 2d day of June
1856                                                      her

State of Maryland Howard County to wit:
    On this 2nd day of June A. D. 1856 before me a Justice of the
peace of the State of Maryland in and for the county aforesaid
personally appeared Mary Behoo and Ann Behoo they being
known by ^me^ to be the persons who are named and described
as and professing to be the party to the above release or instrument
of writing and severally acknowledged the same to
be their respective act and deed
                Acknowledged before me on the date aforesaid
                                                                Reuben Warfield
Recd to be Recorded on the 16.th day of March 1858.  Same day
