John P.
Price
 twenty dollars lawful money of the State of maryland
in hand paid by John P Price of the County and State aforesaid.
At or before the sealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged.  Have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain
and sell unto the said John P. Price his executors administrators
and assigns all and singular the following goods and chattels
to wit one bay mare one Roan horse one bindle cow one
red cow one black and white spotted cow one black and white
calf one black sow and four shoats one two horse wagon one
carriage one wheat fan three seed Ploughs one seed harrow
three Shove  Ploughs two cultivators a lot of oats in the straw
a lot of corn and one rick of hay.  To Have and to hold the
said described goods and chattels to the said John P Price
his executors administrators and assigns forever and he the
said John J Barnesley for himself his heirs executors and
administrators the said goods and chattels unto the said
John P Price his executors and administrators and assigns
against him the said John J Barnesley his executors
and administrators and against all and every other person
and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and
forever defend by these presents
    In Witness Whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal
this twenty first day of December in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven
    Signed sealed and delivered
            in the Presence of          John J Barnsley    (Seal)
            Wm A. Loder

Be it Remembered that on this twenty first day of December
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty
seven before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State
of Maryland in and for Howard County personally appears
John J Barnesly and acknowledges the above instrument of
writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned
according to the true intent and meaning thereof.  And at the
same time appeared before me John P Price the grantee in
the said Bill of sale named and made oath that the consideration
set forth in said Bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein
set forth
