and fifty six as pr Bill of Sale dated Fifteenth day of July A. D. 1856 from Ellen Linch to me recorded in Frederick County Court in Liber E S No 8 folios 625 & 626 of the Land Records Said Bill of sale binding said Edw.d Renehan not to take said Negro Boy out of the State of Maryland during the term aforesaid and Whereas the said Negro Boy Cornelius having subsequently absconded from the service of said Edward Renehan and to regain possession of him causing him the said Renehan considerable time and expense whereby he was induce to apply by petition to the Circuit Court of Howard County for permission to extend the Service of said Negro Boy Cornelius as well as to said Court to pass an order allowing said petitioner to sell him to some person in or out of the State of Maryland according to the provisions of the Act of 1833 ch 224 and as &c which extension of time of service said Circuit Court on the 12th of September 1857 granted to said Edward Renehan as well as the authority to sell said negro Boy within or without the state to serve until the 15th day of July 1873 Eighteen hundred and seventy three & no longer Now Know Ye that in pursuance of the power and authority in me vested as pr the aforegoing mentioned order of Court I as owner of the said Negro Boy Cornelius in consideration of the premises and the further consideration of the sum of nine hundred dollars to me in hand paid at or before the execution of these presents by John Andrews of the parish of Iberville State of Louisianna the receipt whereof i do hereby acknowledge and am therewith fully satisfied Have bargained sold transferred and set over and by these presents do bargain sell transfer and set over unto the said John Andrews his Executors administrators and assigns the said Negro Boy Cornelius for the term aforesaid and as set forth in said order of Court being until the fifteenth day of July Eighteen hundred and Seventy three and no longer when the said Negro Boy shall then be set free from all manner of service to the said John Andrews his Executors administrators and assigns or to my self my Executors administrators or assigns or to any other person or persons whomsoever it doth shall or may concern in any manner whatsoever In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our hands and |
