Amos Duvall
  Bill of Sale to
Albert G. Warfield
     I Amos Duvall of Howard County
in the State of Maryland in consideration
of one hundred and fifty five dollars
paid me by Albert G. Warfield of the
said County and State do hereby bargain and sell to the said
Albert G. Warfield the frulering property to wit one grey horse
or gelding four years old last spring one red and white Cow
and one other red and white Cow all of which are now in
my possession; and I hereby agree and covenant that
the said Albert G. Warfield his heirs or assigns may at any
time hereafter enter upon my promises and seize take and
carry away the property or any part thereof and use dispose
of and appropriate the sane to his own use and benefit
without any let molestation or hinderance by me or any one
claiming under me            Witness my hand and seal this
eighteenth of April in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty seven

    State of Maryland Howard County to wit:
             I hereby certify that on this 18.th day of April in the
year Eighteen hundred and fifty seven before the subscriber a
Justice of the peace for Howard County aforesaid personally
appeared Amos Duvall and acknowledged the foregoing
bill of sale to be his act

        I hereby certify that John Sprigg
Bill of said County this day brought
before me as an estray tresspasing on his enclosures a
brown filly about two years old marked with a white stripe
down the face has an unhealed wound on her right hip
    Given under my hand this fourth day of May 1857
                                                             Jno G. Worthington J. P.
The owner of the above described filly is requested to come forward
prove property pay charges and take her away

living near the 9 mile stone on the Balt.o & Washington turnpike road
