these presents or for the purpose of conveying and assuring
to the said parties of the second part a Lien on all further raw
material stock and stocks of goods manufactured and
unmanufactured chattels effects and property of every description
whatsoever which may from time to time during the continuance
of this mortgage be in and about the Factories aforesaid and
each of them.               In Witness whereof the said James
Sykes hath hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his
seal on the day and year first above written

County aforesaid personally appeared James Sykes and
acknowledged the foregoing deed of mortgage to be his act
and deed.      Witness my name the day and year aforesaid

          I hereby certify that William A. Loder Esquire before
whom the annexed acknowledgment was made and who has
thereto subscribed his name was at the time of so doing a
Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for
Howard County duly Commissioned and sworn
       (Seals)         In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe
       (Place)         my name and affix the seal of the Circuit
Court for Howard County this 6.th day of April A. D. 1857

State of Maryland City of Baltimore Sc
          I hereby certify that on this sixth day of April in the
year 1857 before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the
City aforesaid personally appeared William H. Baldwin
Junior a member of the firm of Woodward Baldwin &
Company and one of the Mortgagees named in the foregoing
Deed of Mortgage and made oath in due form of law
that the consideration set forth in said Deed of Mortgage
is true and bona fide as therein set forth.   Witness my
name the day and year aforesaid         W.m H. Hayward
