May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
forty three between Nicholas Worthington of John of Howard
District of Anne Arundel County of the one part and Negro
Lydia (manumitted by the last will and testament of Thomas
Worthington of John late of the said District and County aforesaid)
of the other part   Witnesseth: that the said Nicholas
Worthington of John as well for divers other good causes and
considerations as for and in consideration of the sum of one
dollar money of the United States to him in hand paid hath
bargained, sold, released and conveyed unto the said Lydia
All her the said Nicholas Worthington of John's right, title
interest and estate of in and to three negro boys Bill and Dick
and Washington the children of the said Lydia      In testimony
whereof the said Nicholas Worthington of John and Negro Lydia
have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals
the day and year first above written

William W. Warfield
I Joshua Fisher of Howard
County in the State of Maryland
in consideration of one hundred and
thirty seven dollars paid me by
William W. Warfield of the said
                    County do hereby bargain and sell to the said William W. Warfield
                    the following property to wit:  one black Cow, one black
                    yearling Heiffer, one one horse wagon, one barshear plow,
                    one double shovel plow, one Harrow, one Set Carriage Gear,
                    two sets plow Gear and one Hathaway Cook stove all which
                    are now in my possession      And I hereby covenant that
                    the said William W. Warfield or his assigns may at any time
                    enter upon my premises and seize, take and carry away
                    any and all of said property without hindrance or interruption
                    by me or any other person claiming by from or under me
                       Witness my hand and seal this fourth day of February
                    Eighteen hundred and fifty seven
