William Dean is to give the said W.m Welsh a good suit
of Clothes and a food sett of shoe makers tools
       In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands

William Hughes
 Know all men by these presents
that I Ann Iglehart of Howard
County and State of Maryland for
and in consideration of the sum of
six hundred dollars lawful money
                      of the United States in hand paid by William Hughes of said
                      County and State at or before the sealing and delivery of these
                      presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
                      granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant
                      bargain and sell unto the said William Hughes his
                      executors administrators and assigns one negro man
                      Peter aged thirty five years to serve for ten years from this
                      date (and from and after the expiration of said term of ten
                      years I do manumit and liberate the said Peter from all
                      servitude whatsoever)         To Have and To Hold the said
                      described Negro Man Peter for the said term of ten years from the
                      date to the said William Hughes his executors administrators
                      and assigns forever; and the said Ann Iglehart for herself
                      her heirs executors and administrators the said negro man
                      Peter unto the said William Hughes his executors administrators
                      and assigns against her the said Ann Iglehart her executors
                      and administrators and against all and every other person
                      or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever
                      defend by these presents            in Witness whereof we have
                      hereunto set our hands and seals this eighteenth day of
                      November Eighteen hundred and fifty six
