administrators and assigns forever.   Provided always
nevertheless and this indenture is upon the express paid
condition that if the parties of the first party or either of
them or the executors or administrators of either of them
shall well and truly pay unto the said Michael Pue his
executors administrators or assigns within three years
from the tenth day of November 1853 the sum of money
mentioned in the aforesaid Mortgage or bill of sale and
will also well and truly pay unto the said Michael Pue
the amount of the said Thomas and Nicholas E. Watkins
additional promissory note for the sum of one hundred
and fifty dollars of even date with these presents according
to the tenor thereof and shall and will in the mean
time regularly pay the interest on the whole amount
of said loans on the 1st day of January and first day of
July in each and every year until the whole debt or loan
is paid then in that case this indenture and every clause
matter and thing herein contained shall forever cease
and be void otherwise to be and remain in full legal
effect.   In witness whereof the parties hereto of both parts
have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and
year first above written

    On this seventh day of March Eighteen hundred and
fifty four before the subscriber a justice of the peace of
Howard County personally appears Thomas Watkins
Nicholas E. Watkins of the first part and Michael Pue
of the second part to the aforegoing instrument of
writing and do acknowledge the same to be their act
and deed.  And the said Michael Pue the mortgagee
at the same time doth make oath that the consideration
mentioned in the said instrument of writing for the
said Mortgage is true and bona fide as therein stated

Received on the aforegoing instrument of writing when
presented for record ten cents in lieu of Stamp under
the act of 1846 ch. 61.
