sold bargained released and confirmed and
by these presents do grant sell bargain
release and confirm unto the said
James McGowan his executors administrators
and assigns all the goods household
stuff implements and furniture
particularly mentioned expressed and
contained in the bill of sale and schedule
thereto annexed heretofore referred
to all and singular which said goods and
chattels are now remaining standing and
being in a certain tenement situate in
Ellicotts Mills and now in the occupation of
the said James McGowan.  To Have and To Hold
the said described goods household stuff
and furniture and other the premises all
and singular to the said James McGowan his
executors administrators and assigns forever
In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this tenth day of
March eighteen hundred and fifty six
signed sealed and delivered
       in the presence of        John R. Brown   (seal)
Ignatius Waters J. Peace
                                        Howard County sct.
Be it remembered that on this tenth day of
March eighteen hundred and fifty six
before the subscriber a justice of the Peace
for said county personally appears John
R. Brown grantor in the foregoing Bill of
sale and acknowledges the same to be his
act and deed according to the true intent
and meaning thereof

Received on the aforegoing Instrument of
Writing when presented for record one dollar
in lieu of stamp under the act of 1846
