the above alteraction in the county was made before
the signing the same                           Ig. Waters J. P.

State of Maryland Howard County to wit
Be it remembered and it is hereby certified
that on this thirtyeth day of november in the
year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty five
before me the subscriber a justice of the Peace
of the state of Maryland in and for the county &
state aforesaid personally appears Leander
Waters he being known to me to be the person who
is named and described as and professing to be
a party to the foregoing bill of sale and doth
acknowledge the said Instrument of writing
to be his act and deed and at the same
time and place also appeared before me
George W. Hoyle grantee in the said bill of
sale named and made oath that the
consideration set forth in the said bill
of sale is true and bona fide as therein
set forth.  In testimony whereof I hereunto
subscribe my name on the day
and year aforesaid

Received on the aforegoing Instrument
of writing when presented for record one
dollar in lieu of stamp under the act

                    Maintenance shall be thence forth free
