G. Worthington one of the Justices of the peace of the state of maryland for Howard county of the one part and William Laurence of the said county of the other party witnesseth that the said John G. Worthington as Justices of the Peace aforesaid by virtue of the power and authority to him given in and by act of the general assembly passed at November session in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety four entitled a supplement to the act entitled an act for the better regulation of apprentices have placed and bound out and by these presents do place and bind out as apprentice Charles Shipley aged about seventeen Months in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty five the son of Ann Maria shipley of the said county of indigent circumstances with the consent and approbation of Jerome C. Berry testified by his sealing and delivering these presents unto the said William Laurence the said Charles shipley to dwell with and serve the said William Laurence from the date of these presents until the said Charles shipley shall attain the age of twenty one years during all of which time and term the said Charles shipley shall the said William Laurence well and faithfully serve in all such lawful |
