(A)    Physical Education Facility. Purchase capital equipment for the

Physical Education Facility, Liberty Campus....................................               170,000

(B)    Life Sciences Building. Prepare preliminary plans to construct a
Life Sciences Building, Liberty Campus, provided that no funds
may be expended until the New Community College of Baltimore
has submitted an approved program plan for the construction of a
Life Sciences Building, and the budget committees have reviewed
and commented upon the program plan, or 45 days have elapsed

from the date the program is received by the committees..............               275,000

36.09.00            MARYLAND HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION

(A) Community College Project Funds. Provide funds to assist the
subdivisions in the acquisition of property and in the design,
construction, renovation, and equipping of public junior,
community, and regional community college buildings, site
improvements, and facilities. The funds appropriated for this
purpose shall be administered in accordance with Section
11-105(i) of the Education Article (Statewide), provided that this
authorization be expended to fund the Commission's project listing

(C)    Construct alterations to McMechen Hall.........................................            7,540,000

(D)    Herring Run Slope. Prepare detailed plans and construct
modifications to stabilize the Herring Run Slope............................               470,000

(E)    Hughes Stadium. Provide a portion of the funds to prepare

detailed plans to renovate Hughes Stadium.....................................               115,000

(F)     Hurt Gymnasium. Supplement the appropriation "Renovate Hurt
Gymnasium ...", originally made by Chapter 125 on page 1647 of
the Acts of 1985 and previously supplemented by Chapter 597 on

page 2750 of the Acts of 1987...........................................................               180,000

(G)    Science Complex, Phase II. Supplement the appropriation
"Complete Phase II alterations and addition to the Science
Complex ...", originally made by Chapter 98 on page 1794 of the
