be to the said James Gore his Executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said William C. Huffington
for myself my heirs executors and administrators the said negro slave named Noah unto the said James Gore
his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said William C. Huffington my Executors and
administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and
forever defend by these presents of which said negro Slave named Noah is now delivered to and ^is^ in the full
possession of the said James Gore               In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and (affixed)
affixed my seal this twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty four

State of Maryland Dorchester County sc      On this twenty third day of January Eighteen Hundred
and fifty four personally appeared before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland in and
for Dorchester County aforesaid William C. Huffington the party bargainor mentioned in the aforegoing deed
or Bill of Sale and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and the negro slave therein mentioned to
be the property of the said James Gore party Bargainer also therein named and at the same time & place
also appeared before me the Subscriber as aforesaid James Gore the Bargainee in the said Bill of sale
named and made oath that the Consideration set forth in the Said Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as
therein set forth            Acknowledged before & Certified by                                 W.m D. Barrow

Received January 23d 1854 of James Gore the Sum of one Dollar in lieu of a Stamp on this Bill of Sale

John Baker                            Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill
√  from  xd                            of Sale was received and recorded on the 25th day of January 1854 to wit:
Alex. R. Anderson & wife         Know all men by these presents that we Alexander R. Anderson and
                                             Amanda Anderson his wife of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and
in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty Dollars Current money to me in hand paid by John Baker of
Said County and State at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof we the said
Alexander R. Anderson and Amanda his wife do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John Baker his Executors administrators and
assigns all and Singular our right title and interest in and to one negro Boy named and Called Henry
aged about twenty years of dark Chesnut Color and about five feet six inches in height which said
Boy Henry was devised by Barzilla Street to the said Amanda wife of the said Alexander for the term of six
years or until the said negro Henry should attain the age of twenty six years as one reference to the last will
and testament of ^the said^ Barzilla Street deceased one file among the records in the office of the register of wills of Dorchester
County will more fully appear for the term and period of six years, beginning the first day of January 1854
and ending and being fully Complete the first day of January 1860 then next ensuing.  To Have and To hold, the
said negro Boy Henry above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be for the said or period
of six years and no longer to the said John Baker his executors administrators and assigns for the term of six
years and no more and We the said Alexander R Anderson and Amanda his wife for ourselves our heirs
executors and administrators the said negro boy Henry for the Said term of six years unto the said John
Baker his executors administrators and assigns against us the said Alexander R Anderson and Amanda
his wife our executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever
shall and will warrant and  defend and by these presents do defend for the term of six years of
which said negro boy Henry.  We the said Alexander R. Anderson and Amanda his wife have put the
said John Baker in full possession by delivering to him the said John Baker the said negro Boy Henry
