64 Justices of the Peace in and for the County and state aforesaid personally appeared George Willey the party grantor of the above Bill of sale and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Taken and acknowledged before Nicholas Langfit J. P. On this 10th day of July 1853 before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the state of Maryland in and for Dorchester County personal appeared W. W. Woolin The party grantee to the foregoing Bill of sale or instrument of writing who made oath on the holy Evangely of almighty god that the Consideration set forth in the foregoing Bill of sale is Just and bona fide as therein set forth Sworn before Nicholas Langfit J. P. Received July 27th 1853 of William W. Woolen the sum of one dollar in lieu of a stamp on this Bill of Sale Francis J. Henry Clk Anthony R. Wallace & James R Stevens Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of √ from xd sale was received and recorded on the 29.th day of July 1853 to wit Samuel R. Vinton Know all men by these presents that I Samuel R. Vinton of Dorchester County and state of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of Thirty one Hundred and fifty dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Anthony R. Wallace & James R. Stevens of the City of Baltimore in the said state, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, & by these presents do give, grant bargain & sell alien & transfer unto the said A. R. Wallace & James R. Stevens, their Executors administrators and assigns a new vessel on the stocks & nearly finished, at the shipyard on the Choptank River in the town of Cambridge, to be finished as a fore and aft schooner & of the following dimensions to wit, Eighty nine feet six inches on deck in length, twenty three feet seven inches breadth of beam, & seven feet, seven inches debth of hold, and measuring tons, by Carpenters measurement To Have and To Hold the said vessel, or hull of said vessel to the said A. R. Wallace & James R. Stevens, above bargained & sold, or intended so to be, their executors administrators and assigns forever, and I the said Samuel R. Vinton have put the said A. R. Wallace & James R. Stevens in full possession of said vessel, and I the said Samuel R Vinton do Covenant & agree to & with the said A. R. Wallace & James R Stevens, to finish & complete said vessel, & lanch her according to our previous Contract. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 28th day of July 1853. Vinton (seal) State of Maryland Dorchester County sct Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this 28th day of July Anno Domini 1853 before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the state of Maryland in & for said County, personally appears Samuel R. Vinton, he being known to me to be the person who is named and described as & professing to be the party vendor in the above Bill of sale, and doth acknowledge the said Bill of Sale or instrument of writing to be his act deed and at the same time appears the said A R Wallace & James R.
