Thomas Willis                   Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following
    from xd  √                     Mortgage Bill of Sale was received and recorded on the 29th day of January
George H. Richardson      1853 to wit:
                                         Know all men by these presents that I George W. Richardson of
Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the Sum of Eighty three
dollars and thirty three Cents Current money to me in hand paid by Thomas Willis of the
County and State aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the
said George W. Richardson do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant
bargain and Sell unto the said Thomas Willis his executors administrators and assigns all the following
property to wit:  One nankeen horse Guinea one four wheel Carriage fifteen head of hogs one pied ox two
dark red milch Cows one ox Cart all of which property is now in my possession.  To Have and To Hold
the said above described property to the said Thomas Willis his executors administrators and assigns forever
and I the said George W. Richardson for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators the aforesaid
property, to the said Thomas Willis his executors administrators and assigns against me the said George
W. Richardson my executors and administrators and against all and every person and persons whomsoever
Shall and will warrent and forever defend by these presents.  Provided Nevertheless, that in case I
the said George W. Richardson shall pay and satisfy to the said Thomas Willis or to his executors
administrators or assigns, the sum of eighty three dollars and thirty three Cents Current money
with interest for the same on or before the twenty fifth day of December next ensuing then this bill
of sale and every matter and thing therein expressed shall be void and of non effect it being the
true intent and meaning thereof, that the said property is mortgaged by me the said George W. Richardson
to secure to the said Thomas Willis the payment of the money aforesaid.      In Witness whereof I
the said George W. Richardson have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the twenty second
day of January in the year Eighteen Hundred and fifty three

State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit:      On this twenty second day of January before
me one of the Justices of the peace in and for Said County appears George W. Richardson and acknowledges
the foregoing writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof, and the act
of assembly in Such Case made and provided   And at the same time and place also appeared before
me the said Thomas Willis grantee in the said bill of sale named and made oath that the Consideration
set forth in the said bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth.

John R. Martin             Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of
    √   from  xd             Sale was received and recorded on the 24th day of January 1853 to wit:
Horatio G. Grieves      Know all men by these presents that I Horatio G. Grieves of Dorchester
County in the State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of four Hundred dollars Current
money to me in hand paid by John R. Martin of the Same County and State at and before the
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John R
Martin his executors administrators and assigns, a sofa, a piano and stove, a pine table
and marble slab, a mahogany rocking chair, a carpet, 6 mahogany chairs, one parlour
stove, a pair of chandalabras an actrerial lamp six cane seat chairs, one hat hook a mahogany
