286 State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit: Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this 21st day of December Anno Domini 1855 before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the said State in and for Dorchester County aforesaid personally appeared Dulcena Scott party to the aforegoing instrument of writing and acknowledged the same to be her act and deed Acknowledged before Geo Hart (seal) Frederick Fickey & others Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale √ From was received and recorded on the 25th day of July Anno Domini 1857 to wit: John G. Robinson I John G. Robinson of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland in Consideration of the sum of One thousand six hundred and forty four Dollars ad ninety eight Cents due and owing by me to Frederick Fickey, Andrew J Fickey, Frederick Fickey Junior and John W. Ennalls trading under the name and firm of F Fickey and Sons do hereby bargain and sell to the said Frederick Fickey, Andrew J. Fickey, Frederick Fickey, Junior and John W. Ennalls trading under the name and firm of F Fickey and Sons the following property that is to say; All the Goods, Wares Merchandise and articles of every description in the Store rooms occupied by me situated on High Street in the Town of Cambridge in the Brick House belonging to the Han James A Stewart immediately above the Store of William H Jordan on said Street. Hurley John W. Brohawn, Thomas R. Cook, David M Corkran, Joseph R. Stewart, William Reagan & Stephen Hurley of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of Forty two thousand nine hundred and twenty seven Dollars and twenty two Cents Current money of the United States to be paid to the said State or its certain Attorney to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this twenty seventh day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Robert Bell appointed Collector of Dorchester County shall well and faithfully execute his office and the several duties required of him by Law and shall well and truly account for and pay to the County Commissioners for Dorchester County or their order the several sums of money which |
