228 to the act entitled "An additional supplement to the act to regulate Ferries have contracted with the said John Brohawn to keep the Ferry over Fishing Creek from Meekins' Neck to Hoopers Island and agree to allow the said John Brohawn the sum of one hundred and sixty Dollars Current money for the same. Now the Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above John Brohawn shall well faithfully and diligently keep the said Ferry over Fishing Creek from Meekins' Neck to Hoopers Island from the dawn of daylight in the morning until the expiration of day light in the evening each day from the 10th day of May 1856 until the first day of January Eighteen Hundred and fifty seven and shall keep constantly and in good order a Scow that will safely carry three passengers and three horses at one trip with one able bodied and skillful hand to attend the said Ferry and shall not charge or receive any greater price for services than what is allowed by Law. Corkran Levin Mobray Thomas H. Hicks & John W. Brohawn of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of Fifty four thousand and forty nine Dollars and six Cents Current money of the United States to be paid to the said State or its Certain Attorney to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs Executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and dated this seventh day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Robert Bell appointed Collector of Dorchester County shall well and faithfully execute his Office and the several duties required of him by Law and shall well and truly account for and pay to the County Commissioners for Dorchester County or their order the several sums of money which he shall receive or be answerable for by Law at such time as the law shall direct then the above obligation to be void or else to be and remain in full force and virtue in law Signed sealed and delivered Robert Bell (seal) in the presence of Ja.s Davis (seal) F.
