204 on this nineteenth day of feb in the year 1856 before the Subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Howard County personally appears Letitia H. Damer she being known to me to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be the party grantor to the foregoing Bill of Sale and doth Acknowledge the Said Bill of Sale or Instrument of Writing to be her act & deed In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day and year aforesaid W.m Allen Justice of the Peace in for Howard County Md State of Maryland Dorchester County SS On this fourth day of 19 of March 1856 personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for the County of Dorchester mrs. Alcinda Damer grantee in the aforegoing BIll of Sale named and made Oath that the consideration set forth in the Said Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth Charles Corkran Justice of the peace for Dor. county State of Maryland Howard County, to wit: I hereby certify that William Allen Esquire before whom the annexed acknowledgment was made and who has thereto subscribed his name was at the time of so doing a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Howard County duly Commissioned and Sworn In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and affix (seal) the seal of the Circuit Court for Howard County this tenth day of March Eighteen and fifty Six W. H. Worthington Clk James Jones F. C. Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following √ From xd Bill of Sale was received and recorded on the 22d day of Richard Nevett March Eighteen hundred and fifty Six to wit: Know all men by these presents that I Richard Nevett (Cold. man) of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred & thirty Eight dollars & Sixty Eight cents current money to me in hand paid by James Jones T. C. of the Same county & State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Richard Nevett do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the Said James Jones F. C. his executors administrators and assigns One Horse, one horse cart, one waggon and all his House Hold & Kitchen furniture all & singular which said goods stock &c are now remaining standing & being in & upon a certain messuage or tenement situate in the village of Fishing Creek in said County To Have and To Hold all and singular the said goods stock &c and other the premises within bargained and sold or Mentioned and intended so to be, to the Said James Jones T. C. his executors administrators and assigns forever; and I the Said Richard Nevitt for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said goods stock &c and other premises unto the Said James Jones F. C. Delivered to James Jones (F C) July 14th 1856 |
