20 is true & bona fide as therein set forth Taken and acknowledged before & sworn to before James Rea J P Ally Woolford & others Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill Exd from of Sale was received and recorded on the 29th day of September 1852 to wit James Woolford (Stamp) Know all men by these presents that I James Woolford ($1.00) of Dorchester County and State of Maryland, for and in Consideration of the Sum of Eleven Hundred dollars Current money to me in hand paid by ally Woolford, Mary E. Woolford and Sarah Woolford at and before the execution of these presents, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the said James Woolford has bargained and sold, Conveyed and transfered and by these presents does bargain and sell Convey and transfer unto the said Ally Woolford Mary E. Woolford, and Sarah A. Woolford their heirs and assigns forever, all the undivided interest, right, title and estate either in law or equity of the Said James Woolford of in to and out of the following property to wit: One negro man named George, one ditto named Peter, one ditto named Henry, one negro boy named John, one ditto named Daniel One negro woman named Silvia, one ditto named Leah, one ditto named Minty, and one ditto named Lucy One negro girl named Chloe, one ditto named Betty, one ditto named Kate and one negro boy, an infant not named also all the household and kitchen furniture, horses, Cattle, Sheep and hogs, Canoes Carriage, and Crop of Corn now on the ground, blades and top fodder, and straw now standing and being on the farm occupied by the said James Woolford in Confirmation with his mother and brothers and sisters also all the farming utensils of every Kind and description whatsoever now remaining on said farm also four hundred bushels of wheat now in the barn on said farm all which said property above mentioned and described is now on said farm, and is intended to include and embrace all the interest of the said James Woolford of every kind in all the personal property goods and Chattels one said farm, and held in Common by the said James Woolford and his brothers and sisters residing on said farm. To Have and To Hold the said above described goods and Chattels and personal estate unto the said Ally Woolford, Mary E. Woolford and Sarah Ann Woolford their heirs and assigns forever, to them and their only use and behoof against him the said James Woolford his heirs and assigns, and against all persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In testimony whereof the said James Woolford has hereto subscribed his name and affixed his Seal this twenty Eighth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of James Woolford (seal) James Rea J. P. State of Maryland Dorchester County ss: Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this twenty Eighth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two before the subscriber one of the State of Maryland's Justices of the peace in and for Dorchester County aforesaid personally appeared James Woolford party vender named in the within and aforegoing bill of Sale and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and delivered the Sum for the uses and purposes therein mentioned according to the true intent and meaning of the Same, and the acts of Assembly in Such Case made and provided And |
