192 Acknowledged before Charles Corkran 1855 December 24th Received of Thomas Vickers the sum of fifteen Cents in lieu of a Stamp on this Mortgage Bill of Sale Francis J. Henry Clk The State of Maryland Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bond was received No charge from xd and recorded on the 24th day of December Anno Domini 1855 to wit Thomas H. Hicks & others ($3.50) State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit: Know all men (Stamp) by these presents that we Thomas H. Hicks Brice J. Goldsborough & Solomon F. Kirwan all of Dorchester County and the State of Maryland Yeomen are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of Five thousand three hundred and thirty three Dollars and thirty three and a third Cents Current money of the said States to the payment whereof we hereunto bind ourselves our heirs Executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents. In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this twenty fourth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five. The Condition of the above obligation is such that in case the above bounden Thomas H Hicks shall faithfully perform the Office of Register of Wills for Dorchester County aforesaid then the above obligation to be void otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue in law. Bradshaw Know all men by these presents that I James H. Bradshaw of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred and eighty Dollars Current money to me in hand paid by John Bradshaw of the same County in the State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said James H. Bradshaw do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John Bradshaw his executors administrators and assigns: All the Goods and Chattels Household stuff and furniture hereinafter particularly mentioned, that is to say: fourteen Beds bedsteads and furniture one sideboard one bureau four dozen Windsor Chairs ten Cane bottom chairs two Rocking Chairs one walnut table two long pine tables two small pine tables one wash stand with marble slab ten wash stands ten bowls and pitchers one Cradle one Crib seven Carpets two pair andirons two pair of shovels and tongs six looking glasses three Coal stoves & pipe one Cooking stove & fixtures one Clock six pictures & frames one lot Queensware one lot of Crockery ware five dozen knives & forks one dozen silver tea spoons one dozen silver table spoons five dozen albata spoons of different kinds and sorrel Horse One Carraige & Harness one lot of Corn one lot of fodder seven hundred and fifty pounds of Pork one double barrel Bird Gun one single Barrel Duck Gun seven Demijohns thirteen glass decanters four dozen tumblers one desk three leather trunks two water Coolers One Chicken Coop two Kitchen tables six jars of preserves one lot of Coal one lot of wood |
