eight oak plank stocks or sticks which were measured and inspected at
cambridge on the twenty third day of November in the year eighteen hundred and
fifty five by A. J. Reynolds inspector and which contain six thousand seven
hundred and fifty cubic feet and one hundred and twenty seven Oak plank
stocks or sticks which were measured and inspected at Church Creek on the
twenty fourth day of November in the year aforesaid by the said A. J. Reynolds
and which contain eight thousand eight hundred and fifty three cubic feet
To have and To hold all and singular the said Oak plank Stocks or sticks above
bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to th said Aaron J
Westervelt his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said
Bennet Fentress for myself my heirs Executors and administrators all and
singular the said Oak plank stocks or sticks unto the said Aaron J. Westervelt
his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said Bennet Fentress
my Executors and administrators and against all and every other person or
persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents

             In Witness whereof I the said Bennet Fentress have hereunto set my
hand and seal this Thirteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifty five

State of Maryland Dorchester County, sct:
                            Be it Remembered and it is hereby certified that on this
thirteenth day of December in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and
fifty five before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland
in and for Dorchester County aforesaid personally appeared Bennet Fentress
he being known to me to be the person who is named and described as and
professing to be the party grantor to the foregoing bill of Sale and did acknowledge
the Same to be his act and deed and at the Same time and place also appeared
before me Aaron J. Westervelt the grantee named in the said bill of Sale and
made Oath that the consideration set forth in the said bill of Sale is true and
bona fide as therein set forth.  In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe
my name on the day and year aforesaid

Received the 13th day of December 1855 of Aaron J. Westervelt the sum of
One Dollar in lieu of a Stamp on this Bill of Sale

Martin Goldsborough          Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that
       √   from      xd             the following Bill of Sale was received and recorded
Mary A. Thomas                on the 26th day of December 1855 to wit:
                                                    Know all men by these presents that I Mary
A. Thomas of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in consideration
of the Sum of two Hundred and forty dollars to me in hand paid by Martin
Goldsborough of the City of Baltimore in the State aforesaid at and before the
