granted bargained and sold and By theas presents do grant Bargain and
sell unto the said James Pattison his Executors administrators and assigns Two Brood
sows Eight Hogs and Fourteen Shoats all of which property is now in my
possession  To Have and To Hold the same Described property above bargained
and sold to the said James Pattison his executors administrators and assigns forever
to his only proper use and Benefit and I the said Washington Rumbly for
myself my Heirs Executors administrators shall and will warrant and
forever defend by these presents to the said James Pattison his Executors administrators
and assigns the said discribed property against me my Executors and administrators
and assigns and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever
claiming the same or any part theireof         In Testimony wheireof I have heareunto
set my hand and affixed my seal this Fifth day of November 1855

State of Maryland Dorchester County, to wit:
                      On this 5th day of November 1855 Before me one of the Justices
of the peace in and for said county appears Washington Rumbly and acknowledged
the aforegoing Instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true
intent and meaning theireof and the act of assembly in such case made and
provided                  Acknowledged Before           Nicholas Langfit J. P.

On this fifth day of November 1855 Before the subscriber one of the
Justices of the peace in and for Dorchester County personally appeared James
Pattison who made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the
consideration set fourth in the within Bill of Sale is Just and Bona fied
as theire set fourth                  Sworn before      Nicholas Langfit J. P.

Delivered November 19th 1855 to James Pattison


William H. Sherman      Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill
Paid          from             of Sale was received and recorded on the 24th day of November 1855 to wit
Mitchell Sherman           Know all men by these presents that I Mitchell Sherman
                                     of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars Current money of Maryland to me in hand paid by William
H. Sherman of Dorchester County and State aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof I the said Mitchell Sherman do hereby acknowledge have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William
H. Sherman his Executors administrators and assigns the following Goods and Chattels that is
to say: one Black mare Called Fanny, one Bay mare called Lade, one Bay Colt called Jenny, one
yoke of steers, one ox Cart, one ox yoke, one milch cow, one young red steer, seven stacks of blade
fodder, eight stacks of top fodder, one fodder House, Crop of wheat now seeded on the ground
where I now reside, one Lot of Corn Caps, fifty bushels of Irish potatoes, fifty bushels of turnips,
Two Hundred Barrels of Corn, fifty head of Hogs, three beds and furniture, eleven chairs,
two tables, six chests, one Carpet, two iron wedges, three plows, three Harrows, three sets of plow geer
one team and gear, one wheat Fan, forty head of Dunghill fowls, twenty five head of geese one
lot of Cabbage, one Chest of Carpenters tools, two bushels of wheat in Granary, two bushels of oats,
two broad axes, five cutting axes, one spade and two shovels, one iron pitch fork, and lot of old iron,

Delivered to William H. Sherman the 24th day of November 1855
