to the said Francis J. Henry his Executors administrators and assigns forever

                In Testimony whereof the Said Thomas J. Dail administrator of Shadrach Mitchell hath
hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal this twenty ninth day of August Eighteen Hundred and
fifty four.

Maryland Dorchester County tow it:  Be it remembered that on this twenty ninth day of August in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four personally appeared before me the Subscriber a
Justice of the Peace in and for the county and state aforesaid the within named Thomas J. Dail administrator
of Shadrach Mitchell and acknowledges the within Bill of Sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed
according to the purport true intent and meaning of the same.  At the same time Came before me Justice as
aforesaid.  Francis J. Henry within mentioned and made oath that the Consideration set forth in this
Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth

Francis J. Henry              Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Manumission
Paid   To    xd                 was received and recorded on the 29th day of August 1854 to wit:
Sarah Skinner (negro)      To all whom it may Concern be it known that I Francis J Henry
                                       of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations
me thereunto moving have released from Slavery, liberated, manumitted and set free and by these
presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman named Sarah Skinner being
of the age of Forty years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance; and her the said
negro woman named Sarah Skinner I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all
manner of Servitude or Service to me my executors or administrators forever.

                   In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty ninth day of
August Eighteen hundred and fifty four

Maryland, Dorchester County, Sc.  Be it remembered that on this twenty ninth day of August
Eighteen Hundred and fifty four personally appears Francis J. Henry party to the within instrument of
writing before me the Subscriber, a Justice of the Peace of the state of Maryland for the said County and
Acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned.

William C. Huffington      Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that the following Mortgage
       √      from   xd          Bill of Sale was received and recorded on the 6th day of September 1854
Richard A. Keene            to wit:

                                        (cents)      This Indenture made this fifth day of September in the year of our
Lord eighteen hundred and fifty four between Richard A. Keene of Dorchester county in the state of
Maryland of the one part and William C. Huffington of the same county and state of the other part
witnesseth:  whereas the said Richard A. Keene is indebted to the said William C. Huffington in
the sum of three hundred dollars current money which indebtedness he the said Richard A. Keene
doth hereby acknowledge and hereby promise to pay to the Said William C. Huffington his Executors,
