A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HYATTSVILLE, MARYLAND, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended), to amend the Charter of the said City, said Charter
being a part of the public local laws of Maryland (1963 Edition, as amended), which
Article contains in whole or in part the Charter of the City of Hyattsville, Maryland,
whereby the Mayor and City Council clarify that all Department Heads as well as Charter
officials, such as the City Clerk and Treasurer, serve at the pleasure of the City Council,
define that all such heads and officials report to the City Administrator, allows for such
Department Heads and officials to enter into a contract with the City regarding the terms
of their employment, clarifies which employees are in the classified or unclassified
service of the City, and provides for termination for cause of classified employees. [Sections C6-1 through C6-6 of the Charter of the City of Hyattsville, Prince
George's County, as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of
Municipal Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 2005 Supplement), repealed and
reenacted, with amendments. Effective Date June 27, 2006]
Resolution No. 2006-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HYATTSVILLE, MARYLAND, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended), to amend the Charter of the said City, said Charter
being a part of the public local laws of Maryland (1963 Edition, as amended), which
Article contains in whole or in part the Charter of the City of Hyattsville, Maryland,
whereby the Mayor and City Council assign the recently annexed East-West Highway
area to ward four and the recently annexed University Hills area to ward three, and adjust
the ward boundary language to reflect such assignments. [Section C4-16 C. and D. of the Charter of the City of Hyattsville, Prince George's
County, as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal
Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 2005 Supplement), repealed and reenacted with
amendments. Effective Date November 29, 2006]
