AN ACT prohibiting smoking in certain public places and in certain places of
employment; defining certain terms; providing exceptions; requiring signs; setting
forth the responsibilities of certain persons in charge of establishments regulated
by this Act; providing civil penalties for the violation of a provision of this Act;
providing for the enforcement against violations; prohibiting retaliation against an
employee because the employee exercises their right to a smoke-free environment;
requiring certain public agencies to conduct a certain public education campaign;
providing that certain existing establishments where smoking is currently
permitted shall comply with this Act by a certain date; and generally relating to
smoking in Howard County.
