AN ACT to repeal and reenact, with amendments, Section 244-14, Restricted routes
designated, of Article III, Commercial Vehicles, of Chapter 244, Vehicles and
Traffic, of the Harford County Code, as amended; to prohibit through truck traffic
on Fountain Glen Drive; and generally relating to truck traffic.
Bill No. 06-17, As Amended AN ACT to repeal and reenact, with amendments, the definition of commercial
amusement and recreation, of Section 267-4, Definitions, of Article I, General
Provisions, of Part 1, Standards; to repeal and reenact, with amendments, Table I:
Principal Permitted Uses for Specific Zoning Districts: Amusements, and Table I:
Principal Permitted Uses for Specific Zoning Districts: Institutional all of Chapter
267, Zoning, of the Harford County Code, as amended; to permit gymnasiums and
health clubs in certain zoning districts; to permit parks, recreation areas, centers
and facilities in certain zoning districts; and generally relating to amusement uses.
Bill No. 06-18 AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 1.3, Election By Certain
Participants To Transfer To The Law Enforcement Officers' Pension System
Effective July 1, 2006, Section 1.8, Definitions, Section 2.1, Participation
Requirements, Section 2.5, Transfer to Law Enforcement Officers Pension
System, Section 3.2, Special Service Rules, Section 3.5, Transfers Between
Covered and Non-Covered Employment, Section 4.4, Pick-Up Contributions,
Section 4.5, Participant Contributions, Section 5.4, Disability Benefits, Section 5.8
Death Benefits, Section 5.9, Limitations on Death Benefits, Section 6.3, Minimum
Distribution Rules, Section 6.4, General Provisions Applicable to Options, Section
8.4, Administrative Authority, Section 8.5, Plan Administration, Section 8.7,
Uniformity of Discretionary Acts, Section 8.8, Fiduciary Standards, Section 8.11,
Review Procedure, and Section 9.9, Transfer of Assets to LEOPS (and to make
various conforming changes to other Sections, such as to section numbering,
cross-references and effective dates), as incorporated by reference in Chapter 29,
Harford County Sheriffs Office Pension, of Part I, Administrative Legislation, of
the Harford County Code, as amended; (1) to reflect that Harford County's deputy
sheriffs who are sworn, certified law enforcement officers may elect to transfer to
the Maryland State Retirement Systems/Law Enforcement Officers Pension
System (LEOPS); (2) to provide service credit in certain circumstances for
Participants who are receiving workers' compensation benefits and who are not
performing services for the Sheriffs Office; (3) to reflect changes to the minimum
distribution requirements; (4) to reflect the level of discretionary authority held by
