AN ORDINANCE concerning:
Cable Franchise Act of 2006
FOR the purpose of repealing the Cable Franchise Acts of 1989 and 2000; enacting the
Cable Franchise Act of 2006; establishing new requirements for cable system
franchises; providing for the grant, renewal, transfer, and termination of cable
system franchises; establishing financial security and insurance requirements;
establishing system design and construction and technical standards; establishing
service requirements; providing for consumer protection; establishing the rights of
landlords and tenants; requiring reports, records, and inspections; providing
procedures and penalties related to franchise violations, establishing dispute
resolution and arbitration procedures; prohibiting tampering with a cable system;
and establishing privacy protections.
BY repealing:
Article 10, Titles 1 and 2 in their entirety
Anne Arundel County Code (2005, as amended)
BY adding:
Article 10, Titles 1 through 14 inclusive, in their entirety

AN ORDINANCE concerning:
Disabilities Commission
FOR the purpose of establishing a Disabilities Commission; providing for the purpose,
membership, term, meeting standards, compensation of members, and powers and
duties of the Commission; and matters generally relating to a Disabilities
Commission.
BY adding:
Article 3, §§ 3-2A-101 through 3-2A-110, inclusive, to be under the new title
"Title 2A. Disabilities Commission."
