eligible and participating schools, and
forward the approved requisitions and
payments to the qualified textbook,
computer hardware, or computer
software vendor who will send the
textbooks, computer hardware, or
computer software directly to the
eligible school which will:
(i) Report shipment receipt to the
department;
(ii) Provide assurance that the savings
on the cost of the textbooks,
computer hardware, or computer
software will be dedicated to
reducing the cost of textbooks,
computer hardware, or computer
software for students; and
(iii) Since the textbooks, computer
hardware, or computer software
shall remain property of the State,
maintain appropriate shipment
receipt records for audit purposes;
and
Reallocate any unused funds for this
appropriation for the purchase of
textbooks, computer hardware, or
computer software for additional
eligible nonpublic schools that do not
meet program application deadlines
due to special circumstances, as
determined bv the Maryland State
Department of Education. Any unused
funds at the end of the fiscal year shall
revert to the special fund.
