2004 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(2) (I) [Except AS PROVIDED IN SUBPARAGRAPH (II) OF THIS
PARAGRAPH RECIPIENTS OF [for grants which may be awarded to the
Administration under federal law, including without limitation Title V of the Energy
Security Act, P.L. 96-294,] grants] GRANTS of land or money shall be limited to local
governments or to organizations which are defined under § 2-203(q), (r), (u), and (v)
of this subtitle, EXCEPT FOR:.

(I) (II) 1. THE PROVISIONS OF SUBPARAGRAPH (I) OF THIS
PARAGRAPH DO NOT APPLY TO GRANTS THAT MAY BE AWARDED TO THE
ADMINISTRATION UNDER FEDERAL LAW, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION TITLE V
OF THE ENERGY SECURITY ACT, P.L. 96-294;AND.

(II) 2. GRANTS BY THE ADMINISTRATION THE ADMINISTRATION
MAY AWARD GRANTS TO HOME BUYERS FOR SETTLEMENT EXPENSES AS PROVIDED
BY THE DEPARTMENT UNDER THIS TITLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2004.

AN ACT concerning

District Court - Small Claim Action - Member or Employee of Limited

Liability Company

FOR the purpose of exempting a member or employee of a limited liability company
appearing on behalf of the limited liability company in a small claim action in
the District Court from the requirement of admission to the Bar of Maryland
and other requirements of the Court of Appeals under certain circumstances;
and generally relating to a member or employee of a limited liability company
appearing on behalf of the limited liability company in a small claim action in
the District Court.
