AN ACT concerning

RECORDATION TAX

FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 166, Article IV, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Caroline County, Maryland; increasing the recordation tax rate from $3.30
per $500 of consideration to $5.00 per $500 of consideration; providing that the
increased recordation tax rate shall apply to all written instruments subject to the tax
which are dated August 1, 2003 and thereafter; providing that this title be deemed a
fair summary of this public local law for all purposes; and relating generally to the
levy of a recordation tax by Caroline County.
