AREA" ALSO INCLUDES THE WATERS OF AND LANDS UNDER THE CHESAPEAKE BAY,
THE ATLANTIC COASTAL BAYS, AND ALL OF THEIR TIDAL TRIBUTARIES TO THE HEAD
OF TIDE. FOR INFORMATION AS TO WHETHER THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED WITHIN
THE CRITICAL AREA, BUYER MAY CONTACT THE LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING
AND ZONING, WHICH MAINTAINS MAPS SHOWING THE EXTENT OF THE CRITICAL
AREA IN THE JURISDICTION. ALLEGANY, CARROLL, FREDERICK, GARRETT, HOWARD,
MONTGOMERY, AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES DO NOT INCLUDE LAND LOCATED IN
THE CRITICAL AREA.",

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2004.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 522 - Calvert County, Queen Anne's County, and St. Mary's County
- Alcoholic Beverages - Class A Light Wine License.

This bill authorizes a Class A light wine license to be issued in Calvert County, Queen
Anne's County, and St. Mary's County.

House Bill 431, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May
11, 2004, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
Senate Bill 522.

FOR the purpose of authorizing a Class A light wine license to be issued in Calvert
County,
Queen Anne's County, and St. Mary's County; and generally relating to
alcoholic beverages licenses in Calvert County, Queen Anne's County, and St.
Mary's County
.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 4-201(a)
