ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                            S.B. 224

This bill grants the Circuit Court for Harford County the authority to remand to the
Harford County Liquor Control Board proceedings before the court that relate to the
appeals of decisions of the board.

House Bill 337, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on April
27, 2004, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
Senate Bill 224.

AN ACT concerning

Harford County Liquor Control Board - Appeal of Decisions - Remand of

Proceedings

FOR the purpose of granting the Circuit Court for Harford County the authority to
remand to the Harford County Liquor Control Board proceedings before the
court relating to the appeal of decisions of the board; and generally relating to
alcoholic beverages in Harford County.

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 16-101(a)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(2001 Replacement Volume and 2003 Supplement)

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 16-101(e)(4)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(2001 Replacement Volume and 2003 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

16-101.

(a) The decision of a local licensing board, in approving, suspending, revoking
and restricting, or refusing to approve, suspend, revoke or restrict a license, or a
licensee, shall be subject to appeal in the manner provided in this section.
