AN ACT adding a certain penalty for violation of the consumer protection laws
governing new home sale contracts and the towing of motor vehicles from
private property; authorizing the Office of Consumer Affairs to seek injunctive
relief for violations of those laws; making certain changes to the law regulating
the towing of motor vehicles from private property; and generally relating to
consumer protection.

AN ACT amending subtitle 3 and subtitle 8, of Title 16, of the Howard County Code to
establish the duties, powers, authority, and jurisdiction of a Board of Appeals
Hearings Examiner; authorizing Hearing Examiners to make decisions in
matters within the jurisdiction of the Board of Appeals; providing that the
decisions made by the Hearings Examiners may be appealed to the Board of
Appeals and heard de novo; establishing terms of service; establishing
provisions for termination of service; providing for the effective date of a certain
part of this act; and generally relating to the establishment of a Hearings
Examiner.
