CHEVERLY
which Article contains in whole or in part the Charter of the Town of Cheverly,
Maryland, whereby the Mayor and Town Council restate the cap or tax limit on real
property taxes to conform to current State assessment practice and raise the cap or
tax limit on real property from forty cents ($0.40) to forty five cents ($0.45) per one
hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation. [Section C-29 of the Charter of the Town of Cheverly, Prince George's County, as
found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters
(1990 Replacement Edition and 2000 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with
amendments. Effective Date December 28, 2001]
Charter Amendment Resolution C-3-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
CHEVERLY, MARYLAND, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended), to amend the Charter of the said Town, said
Charter being a part of the public local laws of Maryland (1963 Edition, as amended),
which Article contains in whole or in part the Charter of the Town of Cheverly,
Maryland, whereby the Mayor and Town Council remove as irrelevant the cap or limit
on borrowing for sewer construction. [Section C-39 of the Charter of the Town of Cheverly, Prince George's County, as
found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters
(1990 Replacement Edition and 2000 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with
amendments. Effective Date December 28, 2001]
Charter Amendment Resolution C-4-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
CHEVERLY, MARYLAND, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended), to amend the Charter of the said Town, said
Charter being a part of the public local laws of Maryland (1963 Edition, as amended),
which Article contains in whole or in part the Charter of the Town of Cheverly,
Maryland, whereby the Mayor and Town Council formalize the custom of having
worksessions and specifying the procedures for such worksessions. [Section C-13 of the Charter of the Town of Cheverly, Prince George's County, as
found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters
(1990 Replacement Edition and 2000 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
Effective Date December 28, 2001]
