The Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr.
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis MD 21401
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 862 - Talbot County - Oxford Community Services Building Loan
of 2001.
This bill removes the requirement in the Talbot County - Oxford Community Services
Building Loan of 2001 that the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Oxford, as
grantee, grant and convey a perpetual preservation easement to the Maryland
Historical Trust.
House Bill 985, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 862.
Sincerely,
Parris N. Glendening
Governor
Senate Bill No. 862

generally relating to the Talbot County - Oxford Community Services Building
Loan of 2001.
