reprimand any licensed dental hygienist, place any licensed dental hygienist on
probation, or suspend or revoke the license of any licensed dental hygienist, if the
applicant or licensee:
(12) Provides professional services while:
(ii) Using any narcotic or controlled dangerous substance, as
defined in [Article 27 of the Code] § 5-101 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE, or other
drug that is in excess of therapeutic amounts or without valid medical indication;

Subject to the hearing provisions of § 5-312 of this subtitle, the Board, on the
affirmative vote of a majority of its members then serving, may deny a license to any
applicant, reprimand any licensee, or suspend or revoke a license if the applicant or
licensee:
(11) Provides professional services while:
(ii) Using any narcotic or controlled dangerous substance, as
defined in [Article 27 of the Code) § 5-101 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE, or other
drug that is in excess of therapeutic amounts or without valid medical indication;

(a) Subject to the hearing provisions of § 6-314 of this subtitle, the Board may
deny a license to any applicant, reprimand any licensee, place any licensee on
probation, or suspend or revoke a license if the applicant or licensee:
(8) Provides professional services while:
(ii) Using any narcotic or controlled dangerous substance, as
defined in [Article 27 of the Code] § 5-101 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE, or other
drug that is in excess of therapeutic amounts or without valid medical indication;

(a) Subject to the hearing provisions of § 7-319 of this subtitle and except as to
a funeral establishment license, the Board may deny a license to any applicant,
reprimand any licensee, place any licensee on probation, or suspend or revoke any
license if the applicant or licensee:
(23) Provides professional services while:
(ii) Using any narcotic or controlled dangerous substance, as
defined in [Article 27 of the Code] § 5-101 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE, or other
drug that is in excess of therapeutic amounts or without valid medical indication;
8- 316.
(a) Subject to the hearing provisions of § 8-317 of this subtitle, the Board may
deny a license or grant a probationary license to any applicant, reprimand any
licensee, place any licensee on probation, or suspend or revoke the license of a licensee
if the applicant or licensee:
