dangerous substance within the meaning of [Article 27 of the Code] TITLE 5 OF THE
CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE or the applicable federal law. 21-1113. (a) (4) (i) "Controlled dangerous substance" means a drug, substance, or
immediate precursor listed in [Schedules I through V of Article 27 of the Code]
SCHEDULE I THROUGH SCHEDULE V IN TITLE 5 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE. (ii) "Controlled dangerous substance" does not include tobacco or a
distilled spirit, wine, or malt beverage [regulated under Article 2B of the Code]. 24-808. (a) No Program staff member or Program participant may be found guilty of
violating [Article 27, § 287, § 287A, or § 288 of the Code] § 5-601, § 5-619, § 5-620, §
5-902, OR § 5-904 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE for possessing or distributing
controlled paraphernalia or drug paraphernalia whenever the possession or
distribution of the controlled paraphernalia or drug paraphernalia is a direct result of
the employee's or participant's activities in connection with the work of the Program
authorized under this subtitle. 24-908. (a) No Program staff member or Program participant may be found guilty of
violating [Article 27, § 287, § 287A, or § 288 of the Code) § 5-601, § 5-619, § 5-620, §
5-902, OR § 5-904 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE for possessing or distributing
controlled paraphernalia or drug paraphernalia whenever the possession or
distribution of the controlled paraphernalia or drug paraphernalia is a direct result of
the employee's or participant's activities in connection with the work of the Program
authorized under this subtitle. Article - Health Occupations 1A-309. Subject to the hearing provisions of § 1A-310 of this subtitle, the Board, on the
affirmative vote of a majority of its full authorized membership, may deny a license to
practice acupuncture to any applicant, reprimand any licensee, place any licensee on
probation, or suspend or revoke a license if the licensee: (5) Provides professional services while: (ii) Using any narcotic or controlled dangerous substance, as
defined in [Article 27 of the Code) § 5-101 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE, or other
drug that is in excess of therapeutic amounts or without a valid medical indication; 2-314. Subject to the hearing provisions of § 2-315 of this subtitle, the Board may deny
a license or limited license to any applicant, reprimand any licensee or holder of a
limited license, place any licensee or holder of a limited license on probation, or
suspend or revoke a license or limited license if the applicant, licensee, or holder:
