PARRIS N. GLENDENING, Governor Ch. 180
(1) study and make recommendations to identify the best possible means
of facilitating and reducing the costs of placing overhead utility lines underground; (2) study and make recommendations to identify a process by which
public service companies and municipal corporations can coordinate construction,
long-term maintenance, and repair projects located on or near roadways in the
municipal corporations, including moving overhead utility lines underground; and (2) (3) report its findings and recommendations to the Governor, and
in accordance with § 2-1246 of the State Government Article, to the General
Assembly on or before December 31, 2003. (e) The Maryland Office of Smart Growth, with assistance from the Public
Service Commission, shall provide oversight and coordination of the Task Force. (D The Department of Legislative Services shall provide the staff support for
the Task Force. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
January 1, 2003. It shall remain effective for a period of 1 year and, at the end of
December 31, 2003, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act
shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect. Approved April 25, 2002.
CHAPTER 180
(Senate Bill 657) AN ACT concerning Family Law - Child Support - Age of Majority FOR the purpose of altering certain provisions of law defining the age of majority to
provide that a person who has attained the age of 18 years and who is enrolled
in secondary school has a right to support and maintenance until the first of
certain events occur; establishing that this Act shall be considered a material
change in circumstances for purposes of modifying a child support order issued
before the effective date of this Act; and generally relating to child support. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
