Ch. 43 2002 LAWS OF MARYLAND
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Criminal Law
Section 8-101(j)
Annotated Code of Maryland (As enacted by Chapter 26 (H.B. 11) of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2002) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article - Criminal Law 8-101. (j) "Service" includes: (1) labor or professional service; (2) telecommunication, public utility, toll facility, or transportation
services; [and] (3) lodging, entertainment, or restaurant service; AND (4) THE USE OF COMPUTERS, DATA PROCESSING, OR OTHER
EQUIPMENT. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2002. Approved April 9, 2002.
CHAPTER 43
(House Bill 198) AN ACT concerning Criminal Law - Political Subdivisions - Powers and Prohibitions FOR the purpose of correcting certain matters identified during statutory revision;
clarifying that a political subdivision is exempt from the prohibition against
certain kinds of interference with certain materials, equipment, conductors, or
facilities of certain electric companies in the political subdivision; clarifying
which revenue officers are covered by the prohibition against failing to pay
money into certain public treasuries within certain times; clarifying that a
person may not use or transfer certain simulated documents that imply that the
person is associated with certain governmental units in order to induce
payment; and generally relating to political subdivisions.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
