SUBTITLE 3. INDUSTRIALIZED BUILDINGS AND MANUFACTURED HOMES.
12-301. DEFINITIONS.

(A)     IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added as the standard
introductory language to a definition section.

(B)     DEPARTMENT.

"DEPARTMENT" MEANS THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly was Art. 83B, § 6-202(b).

(C)     FIRST USER

(1)      "FIRST USER" MEANS A PERSON WHO INITIALLY INSTALLS AN
INDUSTRIALIZED BUILDING OR MANUFACTURED HOME IN THE STATE.

(2)      "FIRST USER" DOES NOT INCLUDE A PERSON WHO SUBSEQUENTLY
BUYS A BUILDING THAT CONSISTS WHOLLY OR PARTLY OF AN INDUSTRIALIZED
BUILDING.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without
substantive change from former Art. 83B, § 6-202(c).

In paragraph (1) of this subsection, the references to an "industrialized
building" and a "manufactured home" are substituted for the former
reference to "factory-built buildings" for clarity. The types of factory-built
buildings covered by this subtitle are industrialized buildings and
manufactured homes.

Also in paragraph (1) of this subsection, the former references to a "firm"
and a "corporation" are deleted as included in the defined term "person".
