2003 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(I)   SO THAT THE PATH OF TRAVEL FROM THE WORK AREA IS
UNOBSTRUCTED; AND

(II)  AT OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE WORK AREA.
(5) AN EXIT DOOR SHALL:

(I)      OPEN OUTWARD;

(II)     REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING THE HOURS THAT THE WORK
AREA OR BUILDING IS OCCUPIED; AND

(III)    REMAIN UNOBSTRUCTED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 38A, § 21(1), (4), (6), (8), and, as they related to
setting building and heating standards, (2), (5), and the introductory
language of § 21.

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the former reference to "breakway"
construction is deleted as included in the reference to "frangible"
construction for brevity.

In subsection (c) of this section, the reference to a building not "exceed[ing]
one story" is substituted for the former reference to a building being not
"more than one story high" for brevity.

In subsection (d)(l)(i) of this section, the reference to wall surfaces and
ceilings being fire "resistant" is substituted for the former reference to wall
surfaces and ceilings being fire "resistive" for clarity.

In the introductory language of subsection (e) of this section, the reference
to a "building in a fireworks plant" is added for clarity.

In subsection (f)(1) of this section, the reference to all electric wiring "in a
fireworks plant" is added for clarity.

Also in subsection (f)(1) of this section, the reference to electric wiring
being "permanent" is substituted for the former reference to electric wiring
having a "permanent character" for brevity.

In subsection (f)(2) of this section, the requirement that electrical service
"comply" with applicable electrical codes is substituted for the former
requirement that electrical service "be in accordance" with applicable
electrical codes for clarity.

In subsection (f)(3)(i) of this section, the former reference to a "type" of
extension is deleted as included in the reference to an "approved"
extension.

In subsection (f)(3)(ii) of this section, the former reference to washing
"down" is deleted as implicit in the reference to being "washed" for brevity.

In subsection (f)(6) of this section, the reference to "electric" vapor-proof,
