AN ORDINANCE concerning:

County Rights-of-Way

FOR the purpose of revising County law relating to use of rights-of-way owned by the
County; transferring responsibility from the Department of Inspections and
Permits to the Department of Public Works; eliminating references to the
Department of Utilities; updating certain terms; providing for the issuance of
right-of-way permits, the posting of security and payment of fees, excavation
requirements, and enforcement procedures; defining certain terms; clarifying
the applicability of laws, regulations, the Design Manual, and the County's
Standard Specifications and Details for Construction to certain activities; and
generally relating to County rights-of-way.

BY repealing:

Article 16, Title 19-101 through 19-103

Anne Arundel County Code (1985, as amended)

BY adding:

Article 16, Title 19-101; Article 25, Title 3. Use of the County-Owned

Rights-of-Way
Anne Arundel County Code (1985, as amended)

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments:

Article 21, §§ 2-101(34A) and 2-210.1(a); Article 25, §§ 1-101(c), 2-103,
4-103(a), and 4-106(a) and (b); and Article 26, §§ 1-101(21) and (38),
2-402(a)(4)(i), 2-404(b), 3-101, 3-102(a), 3-201(16), 3-202(b), 3-203(k),
(l)(iv), and (q), 3-204(f), 3-206, 3-301, 3-306(a), 3-307(a) and (c), and
4-304(d)

Anne Arundel County Code (1985, as amended)

BY renumbering:

Article 26, § 3-203(l)(i) through (iv) to be Article 26, § 3-203(l)(l) through (4),
respectively

Fees charged to borrowers under the industrial revenue bond program

FOR the purpose of offering an alternative method of calculation and payment of fees
charged to borrowers under the industrial revenue bond program.
