FOR THE PURPOSE of repealing and readopting Title 27 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Queen Anne's County (1996 Ed.); correcting certain references therein;
establishing meal periods for County employees; revising provisions regarding survey
of prevailing wage rates; providing for the effective date for salary increases;
providing for advertising of vacant positions, expanding the provisions regarding
nepotism; providing for injury leave and leave of absence for County employees;
providing for dental coverage; revising the provisions regarding disciplinary action,
demotion, suspension and dismissal, including the guidelines for appeal of such
actions; clarifying the provisions regarding benefits for contractual employees; and
generally updating and revising the Queen Anne's County Human Resources
Ordinance.

ITS BOND ANTICIPATION NOTES THEREFOR, AT ONE TIME OR FROM TIME
TO TIME WITHIN FOUR YEARS FROM THE DATE THIS BILL BECOMES
